Celebrates Italy's unification
To celebrate the 150th anniversary of Italy's unification, Fiat has announced plans to offer special edition 500 in South Africa.
Dubbed the 150th, the car is available in three colors (Bossa Nova White, Pasadoble Red or Funk White) and is distinguished by special badging, a rear spoiler and unique 15-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin is outfitted with two-tone sport seats, a revised instrument cluster, and special floor mats.
Power comes from a 1.4-liter engine with 101 PS (74 kW / 100 hp) and 131 Nm (97 lb-ft) of torque. It enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 10.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 182 km/h (113 mph).
Production will be limited to 28 units and pricing starts at R152,480 (including VAT & CO2 taxes).
